It is a co-processed ingredient, a compound composed of mannitol (80%) with a small proportion of extra white maize starch (20%). It is a self-disintegrating mannitol compound, hence no addition of superdisintegrant is required in the formulation of orodispersible tablets with classical Direct Compression. PEARLITOL FLASH grants a uniquely pleasing taste, a fast melting in the mounth, and excellent flow properties. PEARLITOL FLASH complies with Pharmacopoeias EP, USP NF.
